How to Download the QR Code for a Container

QR code–enabled containers let users request collections, additional containers, or report issues in real time, with all requests managed via the Collections Module. This article explains how to download the container’s QR code from the platform.

Upon logging into the platform, you will be automatically taken to the Collections module. Otherwise, navigate to the Collections module located on the top left-hand side of the screen.

  • Click on the Search ) icon located on the top right-hand side of the Map View. Search for a container using one of the following.
    • Container
    • Sensor Serial Number
    • Asset Serial Number
    • Location ID
    • Street/Location
  • The map will centre to this container location. Click on the Container icon to view Container Data.

You also have the option to utilize the Zone Explorer, Asset Management to conveniently locate and search for a container. To learn more, click Here 

  • On the Container Map & Data tab in the pop-up panel on the right-hand side, click the QR code icon next to the container’s name to download it. The QR code will automatically be saved to your device’s Downloads folder.

Please note that once downloaded, QR codes can be printed and installed to containers in a format of your choice—such as plastic, vinyl, or metal—depending on the container type.
