Understanding User Roles in Superfy

Superfy offers four user roles: Admin, User, Driver, and Viewer. Each role controls what a team member can see and change within your account. This article explains what each role can do so you can assign the right level of access to everyone on your team.

Role Summaries

  • Admin has full authority within the account and can manage and change all settings, including users, roles, container settings, and CRM settings.
  • User has the same access as an Admin, except they cannot manage users and roles, and they can only view (not change) core configuration settings such as container types, waste types, and fill level thresholds.

  • Driver can access the Superfy app only, for the purpose of processing routes and collections.

  •  Viewer has read-only access to account data and can create custom reports. Viewers cannot make any other changes and do not have access to account settings.

Role Details

Admin

Admins have unrestricted access to the account. They can invite and manage other users, assign roles, and configure every setting in the platform. Admins can also use the Superfy app to process routes and collections. We recommend limiting the Admin role to the people responsible for your account's overall setup.

User

The User role is designed for team members who work in the platform day to day but don't need to change its core configuration.

User management: Users cannot manage other users. The Users & Roles view is not visible to them.

Container Settings: Users can view all container settings, but their editing rights are limited as follows:

  • Container Types: View only
  • Waste Types: View only
  • Fill Level Threshold Colors: View only
  • Container Custom Fields: Can add and edit
  • Collection Event Custom Fields: Can add and edit
  • Tags: Can add and edit

CRM Settings: Users cannot access CRM settings.

Superfy app: Users can use the Superfy app to process routes and collections.

Driver

Drivers have access to the Superfy app only. They can view their assigned routes and process collections, but they cannot access account settings or manage any configuration.

Viewer

The Viewer role is designed for team members or stakeholders who need visibility into account data without the ability to change it.

Data access: Viewers can read information across the platform but cannot add, edit, or delete any data.

Settings: Viewers do not have access to container settings, CRM settings, or the Users & Roles view.

Reports: Viewers can create custom reports.

Need to Change a Role?

Only Admins can change a team member's role. If you need different access, contact an Admin on your account.
