G2 Manual Readings

A Manual Reading is used to verify if the G2 Fill Level Sensor is connected, if data is being sent to the platform, and if it is recording the asset fullness level correctly. This article shows you how to take and check a Manual Reading.

During the installation process, you can utilize the Manual Reading feature to ensure that the fill level percentage accurately represents the contents of the bin. If the fill level does not match the actual content, you can verify the fill height and fill gap measurements to troubleshoot any discrepancies.

Taking A Manual Reading

  • Hold the magnet (provided with a G2 Fill Level Sensor) at either of the activation ports highlighted in the below diagram until you hear 1 or 2 beeps.
  • Remove the magnet and you will immediately hear an up-tone sound.
  • You will hear another up-tone sound (20 to 90 seconds later) indicating data has been sent to the cloud.
  • You can now view the manual reading data via the platform or app.
