There can be multiple factors that cause the G2 Fill Level Sensor to show as offline. This article outlines the initial troubleshooting steps that need to be taken when dealing with an offline G2 Fill Level Sensor.
STEP 1:
Do a physical Inspection of the sensor to confirm that it is still installed and not damaged beyond repair.
STEP 2:
If the sensor is still installed, attempt to re-activate it by using the Magnet supplied with the sensor.
STEP 3:
If you are able to successfully reactivate the sensor using the Magnet, we recommend performing a Manual Reading to ensure that the G2 Fill Level Sensor is connected, data is being sent to the platform, and the container fullness level is being recorded accurately.
STEP 4:
If you do not hear any beeps, check batteries as they may need replacing. If one battery needs replacing, best practice is to replace both at the same time.
For assistance with ordering new Batteries, reach out to either your Account Manager or Customer Success Manager. You can also send an email to support@superfy.com.
STEP 5:
If replacing the batteries does not resolve the issue, please return the G2 Fill Level Sensor to Superfy for further investigation by following our RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) process.
